| The Graph (Rules) (13th Feb 09 at 9:22pm UTC) | | The Graph lists all the rules of Classical Times that are considered global rules.
a] Do not intentionally spam, make useless replies in threads or create threads that are useless intentionally. This is a discussion forum, outside of the General Category we expect discussion.
b] Do not post or send a link or links to your blog, website or message board if you were not asked. You may post an advertisement to your website in the general board if you feel you have contributed to the community decently, this is a perk we offer to our members. If you do advertise your website, we, unlike other forums, do not require you to have a link back. Consider this a thanks for helping make our discussion board better.
c] We do not discriminate against past actions on other providers or forums. If you done something to get banned by lying or were wrongfully banned we will not enforce the same action here, every person starts off on a clean slate with a clean start.
d] We do not have control of what people put in their signatures. We can however limit it by rules:
-] No height higher then three hundred pixels total. -] No wider then 555 pixels. -] No inappropriate content listed in these rules nor on vForums. -] You are allowed to advertise. :]. e] At no time will there be more then six affiliates on Classical Times. The first six we get, are the only six we will use until one revokes affiliation or is removed. We do keep a waiting list. Members get put on the top of the waiting list, as opposed to non members.
f] No content may be taken from this website without permission of the original writer. Several of the excerpts we use are however in public domain.
g] If you copy and paste a large article (news) or entry from an encyclopedia please tell us the source in a small note for we may know (and not have copyright disputes). Some sources such as poems or graphics have no original source, hence there is nothing to worry about. Several of the classical works are in Public Domain.
h] We require at least one paragraph of a post (or more) that is of decent quality in all of our serious discussions (outside the General Category).
i] Several of the codes we use for Classical Times were coded for Classical Times or 'Ash.' by Wrighty. Do not contact 'Ash.' about these codes, the person to contact is Wrighty.
j] All of the graphics used were made for Classical Times by Remixed/Patrick Orr (http://patrickorr.com), Ash., or TygrTat. Blanka of PreDesigns has helped in the head / base image rendering to be used on vForums software.
k] Some of the discussions here may get to a heated debate, please know that people come to Classical Times for fun and intelligent discussion, so these debates either how they turn out will not effect the decisions of the next topic. We encourage and value intelligence of others.
l] Some things may not be seen as classics by others, classics don't necessarily mean old. We felt this needed to be stated.
m] All tables you see on Classical Times outside of Standard vForums was made by Ash. for Classical Times only. There are plenty of skilled people out there that can make HTML tables, get a unique one. :].
n] Some of our members write thesis or essays on classics they wish to share. If you need a hosted source or a backup copy feel free to PM Ash. to ask.
o] Ad-Free Credits will not be reimbursed if donated to this forum. However we give a big thanks to anyone who donates any. :]. Ad-Free credits will only be used on our members so they can enjoy ad-free when ever we have it.
p] We value your privacy! Your hidden details will not be shared with people who ask nor sold.
q] We allow nudity unlike most discussion forums. The reason this is allowed because we have a mature audience. This is NOT considered pornography, this is considered educational. Several Greek classics, Italian classics, Roman classics and several others contain nudity. (Statues, art, etc). Do not abuse this. All topics containing nudity should have YES marked under the nudity question during the creation. If one has JavaScript disabled for forgets to answer the question please add a '[N]' (capitalized) to your thread title.
r] These rules may be modified and changed in the future. You have twenty days to abide by the new rules or terminate your account.
s] All rules listed above must be followed as well as anything stated in the vForums Terms of Use. | |

This forum,
Classical Times is meant for mature audience. If you cannot bring your self to a mature state or are not mature, please
click here to leave now; however some play is allowed and humor is liked. We do not want and do not tolerate childish and or immature people here.
We require a one paragraph post for every post, including threads. Yes this seems high, and the reason for it is because the forum will seem like a better place to be and more sociable. We would also like people to know, that English is the only language allowed, any variation of English (please know deep 1337/leet is not acceptable) is allowed here at
Classical Times. The members here will be expected to know a decent amount of English spelling and grammar.
The posts here, our main worry is quality. In a paragraph post, we would like about four sentences. We will not deeply enforce this rule, unless we have mass problems of people giving one liners.
If you are not really good with classics and would like to know more, just view the Academy board, by clicking
here. This board will have topics posted, it is suggested to read as many as them as you can, they'll give one a crash course in the classical arts.
